Fire officials say two people have been pulled from the Bronx River this afternoon, one of whom is said to be in critical condition.
First responders arrived at the scene just after 3 p.m. near East 172nd Street.
Fire officials say one person rescued from the water was transported to Saint Barnabas Hospital.
Their ages were not immediately known.
NY1 has a crew headed to the scene and will have more information as it becomes available.
