ATV driver who allegedly ran over cop charged

A Brooklyn man was charged with reckless endangerment and arraigned Monday in connection with the case of an all-terrain rider running over and dragging a police officer, authorities said.

Christian Oliviere, 24, was released after posting $ 2,500 bail on the rap in Brooklyn Criminal Court.

Police had spotted Oliviere riding his ATV and doing donuts on a sidewalk near Pitkin Avenue and Autmun Avenue on Sunday afternoon, prosecutors said.

Oliviere then allegedly sped off, going 60 mph in a 30 mph speed zone and blowing at least one red light while weaving in and out of traffic.

Meanwhile, another ATV rider was barreling through traffic when a police officer tried to pull him over in front of a bus stop, sources said.

The cop grabbed the quad’s handle bars and was dragged nearly 200 feet, knocking him out of his shoes, sources said. He suffered a broken vertebra, a fractured nose and other injuries.

The officer was rushed to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The second ATV rider who struck him took off and is still at large.
