A woman was clinging to life Friday following an attempted murder-suicide on Staten Island, law enforcement sources said.

The unidentified gunman shot the woman — believed to be his granddaughter — inside a home on Virginia Ave. near Rockwell Ave. in Park Hill at about 6:15 p.m., officials said.

The gunman then got in a car and drove a block away to Clifton Ave., where he shot himself in the head.

An infant was found inside the Virginia Ave. home when police arrived, but was not seriously injured, officials said.

Paramedics rushed the critically wounded woman to Staten Island University Hospital.

“She’s not in good shape,” a law enforcement source said.

The child was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center with a minor injury.

The shooter was also taken to Staten Island University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
