Brooklyn Health Partners is scheduled to begin providing medical care when SUNY Downstate gives up control on May 22.
The mayor’s office has raised questions about whether BHP can follow through with its promise of maintaining a full-service hospital in Cobble Hill.
BHP says they are prepared to deliver their $ 25 million down payment today as scheduled.
Doubts were raised after the group was recently forced to withdraw a lawsuit filed against SUNY Downstate, claiming the hospital was not being sincere in their negotiations.
