Police have arrested a Brooklyn man in connection with the kidnapping and murder of a Brooklyn landlord.
According to police, 26-year-old Kendel Felix of Brooklyn is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Menachem Stark.
Earlier, law enforcement sources told NY1 that at least four people were in custody and were being questioned by police in connection with the incident, but it is unclear how many of those people will be charged.
Stark was last seen leaving his office on Rutledge Street in Williamsburg in early January.
Surveillance video showed him being forced into an SUV.
He was later found dead in a dumpster in a gas station in Great Neck, Long Island.
“Over the last 24 hours, the pace of that investigation has accelerated significantly, and our anticipation is over the next 24 hours that it will continue to accelerate and hopefully draw to a conclusion,” said Police Commissioner William Bratton.
Stark was a father of seven.
