A motorcyclist was killed when his bike crashed into the back of a van on a Bronx highway Sunday morning, authorities said.
The 24-year-old man was riding his 2005 Yamaha southbound on the Major Deegan Expressway in Kingsbridge around 10:30 a.m. when he collided with the right rear bumper of a 2006 Mazda van also traveling south, cops said.
The cyclist suffered severe body trauma and was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was declared dead, officials said.
The 50-year-old driver of the van and a 7-year-old passenger were treated at Montefiore Hospital for minor injuries.
Police said they don’t suspect any criminality.
