Two men are facing charges after a wild scene on a major city highway.
Police say they got several calls Saturday afternoon about a group of dirt bikes and all-terrain vehicles weaving in and out of traffic on the Van Wyck Expressway in Kew Gardens.
Traffic came to a standstill as police tried to control the situation.
Omid Bedi, 30, and Equilla Ross, 39, were eventually arrested.
Police say Bedi was driving this ATV against traffic.
Among other things, he’s charged with reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance.
They say Ross was arrested while trying to flee the scene on this motorcycle.
He faces criminal nuisance charges.
Several other riders in the group fled the scene by lifting their bikes over the median after police slowed down traffic to try to stop them.
