A biker died and a second one was taken into police custody after two motorcycles collided in Queens Sunday morning, police said.
A 38-year-old man was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson eastbound on Cypress Avenue, near Cypress Hills Street, when he hit a curb and skidded toward a second biker stopped at a red light on Cypress Avenue, around 4:15 a.m., cops said.
The first biker smashed into the back of the 2006 Harley Davidson that was stopped at a red light on Cypress Avenue, cops said.
The 43-year-old on the stopped bike was not injured but the younger biker who hit him was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police added.
It was not immediately clear whether the pair had been riding together. Both motorcycle were registered and insured, according to cops.
The surviving biker was taken into police custody and was being tested for signs of intoxication, sources said.
No arrests have been made and the victim’s name has not been released.
