Light Snow Expected as City Issues Alert

The Department of Sanitation has issued a snow alert for Sunday afternoon.

Officials say the alert will go into effect at 1 p.m. Plows and salters, which barely got a rest after two storms this week, are at the ready once again.

The forecast is for light snow in the later afternoon with only an inch of snow expected to fall before midnight.

A trash pick-up is scheduled for Sunday to alleviate backlogs caused by the recent storms.
