More than two dozen police and firefighters are expected to be charged Tuesday in connection with a growing disability fraud scam.
Sources say 28 defendants have been brought in.
They are accused of being part of a decades-long scam that bilked the disability system out of more than $ 20 million.
Prosecutors say some recipients were advised to link their symptoms to the September 11th attacks.
While some claim they couldn’t care for themselves, prosecutors say they have video showing them engaging in a wide variety of activities.
Just last month, officials say 106 arrests were made in connection with this scam.
