According to police, one of the alleged fare jumpers took off and then allegedly opened fire with a .45-caliber handgun.

Both officers returned fire, according to police.

Good Samaritans helped to treat Lee at the scene of the incident, according to police.

Police also say that good Samaritans helped officers locate the alleged shooter.

According to police, witnesses at the scene then told officers that the suspect, 29-year-old Rashaun Robinson, entered a nearby building.
