An expecting 39 year-old mom went into labor and gave birth in the middle of a crosswalk on the Upper East Side, cops and authorities said.
The expecting mom had just walked out of her apartment on East 68 Street near Third Avenue around 4 p.m. Monday, police sources said.
That’s when she went down to the ground and delivered the baby. Passersby came to aid until police and EMT’s arrived, the sources said.
Paramedics transported the mother and newborn to Lenox Hill Hospital in stable condition.
