Investigators document evidence of shell casings near the corner of Morris Park Ave. and Victor St. in Morris Park after three people were shot about 2:40 p.m. Wednesday.

A 79-year-old woman exiting a dollar store in the Bronx was struck in the hand by a stray bullet after at least one gunman opened fire on a crowded street on Wednesday afternoon.

Two teenage boys were also wounded in the gunfire on Morris Park Ave. in Morris Park about 2:40 p.m., police said. Three suspects were later collared.

The errant round that struck the innocent woman was likely fired from an intersection a block away from where she was hit. The woman, whose name was not released, had just left a 99 Cent Store on Morris Park Ave. at the corner of White Plains Rd., a police source said. Ten bullet casings were recovered from a street corner one block to the west, at Morris Park Ave. and Victor St.

The woman surprised witnesses by how calm she was afterward. “She wasn’t freaking out,” said Brian Hellner, who owns an area business. “She didn’t make a dramatic issue about it.”

The woman and the two wounded teens — a 18-year-old shot in the arm and a 19-year-old hit in the leg — were taken to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

Cops did not immediately release information on the suspects.
