SUNY Downstate announced Friday evening that it has received nine responses to the request for proposals for Long Island College Hospital.
SUNY says that the nine RFPs will be scored and evaluated by March 26.
They will be scored and evaluated in accordance to state regulations.
SUNY says that there is no timetable for board action yet on the proposals.
A settlement reached last week ended a lengthy court battle between SUNY and community members and medical staff.
SUNY runs Long Island College Hospital and was seeking to unload the facility, saying it was losing millions of dollars per month.
A settlement agreed to last month requires that SUNY keep the hospital open until May 22, and in the meantime, completely re-do the bidding process for selling the property.
