New York Jets GM John Idzik poked some fun at the Daily News’ Manish Mehta, who wagered that he would hitchhike home if Gang Green did not trade any of its picks.
The Jets, who were scheduled for a league-high nine picks, used every single one, drafting Utah linebacker Trevor Reilly to solidify Mehta’s fate.
During the Jets’ press conference following their final pick, Idzik held a sign to the media that read, “#HITCHHIKE.”
He walked over to Mehta after the press conference and handed him the sign, saying, “Here’s a souvenir for you.”
