Brooklyn Super in Custody Following Deadly Slash Attack

Police have a Brooklyn man in custody after a stabbing left his wife dead and his son injured early Tuesday morning.

Sources say the man’s name is Hasan Rugova, and sources say he has not been charged yet.

Residents say the man was the superintendent of a building located at 101 Marine Avenue in Bay Ridge.

Police say they found the 52-year-old with a knife wound to his stomach.

The 14-year-old boy was slashed on the arm, and 46-year-old Gyltene Rugova was declared dead on scene with a neck wound.

Building residents said they were shocked and upset by the loss of a friend.

“She helped me for everything. I’m going to miss her a lot. I don’t know what to say. Very nice woman. She help everybody here. Everybody love her,” said one tenant.

Sources say the boy may have tried to intervene in a domestic argument, and that the man’s wound may have been self-inflicted.

Sources say there was also an 11-year-old girl in the apartment at the time who was unharmed.

An investigation is ongoing.
