Three Shot at East Harlem Barbecue, One Shot Nearby

Four people were shot in two separate incidents in East Harlem Saturday night.

Three teens were shot at a barbecue.

It happened shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday inside Jefferson Park.

We’re told an 18-year-old was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital in critical condition.

We spoke with a witness who says it all happened during a barbecue in the park.

“There was an argument and then some one pulled some kind of a gun and then shots was made. At first it seemed like it was fire works—probably it was a little caliber gun. Other than that, everyone thought it was fireworks. People stayed at the barbecue until witnesses saw him with the gun,” the witness said.

Two other people, an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were taken to Harlem Hospital.

All three are expected to survive.

In a separate incident, police say a 20-year-old man was shot in the arm at 127th and St. Nicolas Terrace in Harlem.

He was taken to the hospital. There’s still no word on his condition.
