Teen driver who killed 4-year-old busted again for reckless driving

​The unlicensed teen driver who killed 4-year-old Ariel Russo while fleeing police in an SUV on the Upper West Side last summer was busted behind the wheel again — this time allegedly dragging a cop 100 feet and nearly hitting a pedestrian, officials said Wednesday.

Road menace Franklin Reyes Jr., 18, was pulled over at West 181st Street and Amsterdam Avenue on Sunday night after making an illegal left, according to law enforcement sources.

Reyes stopped but wouldn’t put the car in park, police said.

“He did not have ID and became nervous,” a source said. “He refused to put the car in park and wouldn’t get out of the vehicle.”

When one of the officers reached inside through the black Jeep’s driver’s side door to put the gear into park, Reyes hit the gas, dragging the cop along, authorities said.

“[Reyes] struck a vehicle and pulled into a commercial parking garage and nearly hit an attendant,” the source said.

Officers caught up with Reyes inside that lot on 179th Street and cuffed the defiant Reyes — who was out on bail for the Russo case — who allegedly fought back against arresting cops.

He was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, assault. criminal possession of a weapon, false impersonation and reckless driving.

Reyes was illegally driving an SUV on June 4, 2013 when he plowed into Russo, killing her and severely injuring her grandmother, near West 97 Street and Amsterdam Avenue.

He was arraigned Monday and charged with second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, unlawful fleeing a police officer, reckless driving and unlicensed driving. His bail was immediately revoked.

Reyes had been offered an attractive plea deal in the Russo case. He had the option of pleading guilty to manslaughter in exchange for 16 months to four years behind bars. It’s not clear if that deal is still one the table following this latest arrest.

Even before Sunday night’s bust, Reyes had been in trouble since killing Russo.

He and his dad, Franklin Reyes, were arrested at the building where the father worked as the super, 252 W. 21st St.

On July 17, they allegedly broke into an apartment belonging to a woman who had died and stole a Nikon camera, a $ 500 Omega watch, $ 10,000 in jewelry and $ 2,000 in cash, law enforcement sources said.

That case is pending.​
