Say cheese!
A duo of dummies snapped selfies with a stolen phone and the images were uploaded to a photo sharing account that tipped off police.
The men last snatched a cell phone from an 18 year-old man near Seventh Avenue near West 117th Street around 8:30 p.m. Sept. 24, according to police.
Sometime later they snapped the selfies, which would later be uploaded to the photo sharing account, cops said.
Investigators later discovered the duo ripped off three others around central Harlem. On July 29, the duo approached a 55-year-old man as he walked into his apartment around 3:45 a.m., cops said.
At 11 p.m. the same day they whipped out a pistol and demanded a 29-year-old victim’s cell phone on West 116th Street near Eighth Avenue, according to police.
On Sept. 19 they pulled the same stunt on a minor.
The 17-year-old was outside his Harlem apartment when the duo pretended to have a gun and demanded the cell phone.
They fled. There were no injuries reported in the reported muggings.
