You could call it the “game about nothing.”
Saturday night, the Brooklyn Cyclones held their “Salute to Seinfeld Night,” honoring the show’s 25th anniversary.
MCU Park was temporarily renamed Vandelay Industries Park, and some players wore puffy shirts during batting practice.
Admission was free for anyone named George Costanza and anyone who worked in the latex industry.
Also, the real Kramer, Kenny Kramer was on hand.
“I’m just blessed that Larry and Jerry created this show that appeals to such a great audience. Had they created “Home Improvement,” I’d be doing events in trailer parks,” Kramer said.
The first 2,500 fans also received a free Keith Hernandez Magic Loogie bobble head, a reference to the former Met’s first appearance on “Seinfeld” in 1992.
The game ended in a tie.
