Officers Hurt by Objects Thrown Out of Window

Four officers were hurt by objects being thrown out of a window during a shooting investigation in Brooklyn—including a bike.

The NYPD says officers saw a 21-year-old man firing a gun on the first floor of a building on St. Marks Avenue in Crown Heights around 2 a.m. Sunday.

They tried to arrest him, but that’s when officials say two other men tried to intervene.

One of the men was tasered.

Once the officers were outside, the NYPD says another suspect threw a bicycle out of a window, hitting three of them.

Another officer was hit by an unknown object.

All of them are expected to be OK.

Bryan Jiminez, 35, is now facing charges for attempted murder of a police officer.

The 21-year-old shooter is facing weapons charges.

Three others are also facing charges for obstruction and resisting arrest.
