Shooter guns down man in NYC

A shooter was caught on surveillance video gunning down a man on a Brooklyn stoop, according to video released by police Monday.

The video shows the suspect arguing with the 25-year-old victim on MacDonough Street near Throop Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant at 1:10 a.m. Sunday following a holiday cookout, according to cops.

The gunman is seen reaching into his waistband and pulling out the handgun.

The suspect then takes a step back, aims at the victim and squeezes off a round at the victim, who is off camera.

The heavy-set gunman then cocks the gun a second time and fires again as he retreats backwards and then turns to run down the street.

The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital where he is listed in critical but stable condition, cops said.

The victim is not cooperating with the police investigation, but it is believed the victim and his assailant were known to each other, sources said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a T-shirt with a number 12 on the back, cops said.
