Stormy Weather Creates Flooding Issues on Roadways, in Subways

Stormy weather caused issues throughout the city Wednesday night.

NY1 viewer Caroline sent video of lightning striking 1 World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan.

The weather caused power outages in every borough.

Meanwhile, people in Red Hook saw some minor street flooding.

Crews from the Department of Environmental Protection are out working on clearing roadways there and in other parts of the city.

Flooding on the Cross Bronx Expressway also caused a 90-minute backup at the George Washington Bridge, and subway riders in Boerum Hill also saw some problems.

The F and G line saw some problems with flooding and trains were re-routed for a time, but the Metropolitan Transportation Authority says things are now back to normal.
