Three people are injured when a taxi crashes into a storefront on the Upper East Side.
Police say the driver of the cab and two pedestrians suffered minor injuries.
They were all taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital.
The accident happened at 10:30 a.m. Saturday on York Avenue between 78th and 79th Streets.
A witness describes the chaotic scene.
“Suddenly I came around the corner and the taxi cab evidently jumped the sidewalk, crashed into the building, evidently ran over a few people, and some people in the cab seemed injured.”
The cause of the crash is unknown. Police are still investigating the incident.
