Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio’s aide Lauren Hitt is taken away by paramedics Wednesday morning.

Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio and his wife made an unscheduled trip to a hospital to visit a campaign aide who suffered a seizure outside his Brooklyn home Wednesday morning.

When asked if the staffer, Lauren Hitt, would be all right, de Blasio replied, “Yeah,” and promised an update at a later event.

Hitt lost her balance and fell onto the sidewalk about 7:15 a.m. as she spoke to a journalist across the street from the de Blasios’ Park Slope home. Hitt fell into a pile of trash bags, but did not appear to hit her head. She appeared to suffer a seizure for about 30 seconds.

“We were just talking then it looked like she tripped. I didn’t know what was happening,” said the journalist, who asked not to be named.

Two police officers, a bystander, and four members of the press rushed to the woman’s aid and put a blanket under her head. She regained consciousness moments after the seizure passed.

The responding officers called an ambulance, which arrived within four minutes.

Hitt was brought to nearby New York Methodist Hospital, where she was conscious and alert.
