Nets head coach Jason Kidd is in hot water over some cold soda.
The NBA fined Kidd $ 50,000 for intentionally spilling his drink on the court at the Barclays Center during Wednesday night’s game against the Lakers.
The Nets were out of timeouts when Kidd bumped into Brooklyn’s Tyshawn Taylor with 8 seconds left, causing him to drop his soda.
A video showed Kidd appearing to tell Taylor to “hit me” as the guard walked toward the bench.
While the floor was being cleaned the Nets were able to put together a play.
But they still wound up losing 99-94.
Kidd denied any intent after the game, joking that he had sweaty palms.
