Omar Hoist, 32, has been identified as the suspect in the Central Park rape, He was last seen wearing a red hat, black leather jacket and blue jeans, police say.
This is the man who police say raped a woman in Central Park early Sunday morning.
Omar Hoist, 32, met the victim at E. 88th St. and Fifth Ave. about 3:30 a.m. and walked with her to the park, where he dragged her onto a lawn and raped her, police said.
Hoist is said to be in his early 30s and stands between 5-feet-6 and 5-feet-9, police said. Police ask anyone with information to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers tipline at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.
