The battle over Long Island City’s “5 Pointz” complex has taken another turn.
Crews overnight reportedly began whitewashing the entire building.
This comes a week after a judge lifted a temporary restraining order stopping them from razing the iconic space.
The owner wants to replace it with a residential development.
The approved plan includes two rental towers, a park and 12,000 square feet of artist’s space and galleries.
No date has been set to begin demolition.
