Park Slope shooting leaves man in critical condition

An argument in a Park Slope apartment turned violent Friday night when a man was shot and left in critical condition.

Witnesses say the victim was drinking with acquaintances inside a first-floor apartment at the Warren Street Houses, when they heard shots just before 7:00 p.m.

“They were inside drinking, just a regular Friday night, and then I heard a faint sounding gun shot,” said a witness.

According to authorities, the victim was transported to Brooklyn Hospital in respiratory and cardiac arrest from a gunshot wound, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.

“The way they (EMS) brought him out, pumping his chest, he looked bad,” a witness said of the victim.

Police say an investigation behind the shooting is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
