Two People Killed In Three-Car Accident In Bronx

Two people were killed early Saturday in a three-car accident in the Bronx.

The incident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. Saturday morning at exit 5 on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Orchard Beach.

Investigators said a driver in the northbound lane lost control of his black SUV, hit the left guard rail and then hit the right guard rail, flipping his car and sending it into the southbound side.

The car struck two oncoming vehicles, killing two occupants of a livery cab and injuring three people inside a white SUV.

The driver of the black SUV and occupants of the white SUV were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The parkway has been closed in both directions near the site of the accident.
