Victim slams goon as he’s given 20 years

NEW YORK, NY - JUNE 14: Members of the Jewish Orthodox community walk down a street in a Brooklyn neighborhood on June 14, 2012 in New York City. According to a new study by Jewish Policy & Action Research, New York City's Jewish population, especially the Orthodox community, is growing. The study found that there are 1.54 million Jews living in 694,000 Jewish households in New York City and three suburban counties. This represents an increase of 9 percent between 2002 and 2011 of Jewish residents. Outside of Israel New York has the highest percentage of people identifying themselves as Jewish. “No one except my close family has even seen me wear short sleeves,” she tearfully told Federal Judge Kiyo Matsumoto.

A thug convicted of committing a spree of violent Brooklyn home invasions, which included terrorizing an Orthodox Jewish teen girl who was forced to disrobe in front of thugs, was slammed with a 20-year jail sentence Monday.

Derrick Diaz, 40, of New Jersey, was confronted by the brave victim, now 21, in Brooklyn Federal Court.

“No one except my close family has even seen me wear short sleeves,” she tearfully told Federal Judge Kiyo Matsumoto. “Do you have any idea what it’s like to not know when you come out of the shower if there’s going to be someone in the house? Do you have any idea what it’s like to see your father, the strongest person I know, on his knees and begging for his life?”

Diaz whined that he pulled the robberies because his home was sinking into foreclosure.
