A woman was killed after a vehicle struck her in the Bronx on Friday.
An elderly woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle in the Bronx Friday, police said.
The victim — whose identity was not immediately released — was struck in the crosswalk at the intersection of Lafayette and Pugsley avenues in Castle Hill at about 10:35 a.m., officials said.

She was rushed to Lincoln Hospital with severe head trauma and died about 35 minutes later, sources said.
It was not immediately clear if there was criminality, police said.
