MTA train operator busted for cocaine possession


An off-duty MTA worker was arrested after cops spotted cocaine in his car in The Bronx, authorities said Sunday.


Muck Mathurin, 41 — who is listed on a public Web site of state employees as a train operator — was stopped by officers about 9:35 p.m. Saturday near 168th Street and Third Avenue in Morrisania, according to a cop source.


It was unclear why he was stopped, but during the ensuing investigatin, an officer spotted cocaine in his car, sources said.


Mathurin allegedly tried to resist being handcuffed but was eventually taken into custody.


He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, as well as obstructing governmental administrations.


An MTA spokesman could not immediately say what Mathurin’s title was.
