A Brooklyn woman who was attacked by a group of young punks may be the city’s latest victim of the so-called Knockout Game.

Thaniya Keereepart, 36, was walking her dog near the intersection of Gold and Water Sts. in Vinegar Hill about 8:50 p.m. Sunday when the teens zeroed in on her, apparently for no reason, police said. One of them punched her in the face, and another also struck her, causing an injury to her back, police said. The suspects then took off, fleeing into an apartment building on nearby York St.

Keereepart, who lives in Vinegar Hill, was not seriously injured. Police would not say if the assault was an instance of the Knockout Game, in which wannabe toughs assault a victim and usually film it for posting. Such attacks caused a frenzy across the U.S. late last year, leading to at least three deaths.

Police said the suspects in the Brooklyn attack are black and between the ages of 14 and 17
