A woman was struck and killed by an Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus early Saturday morning while crossing the street in Williamsburg.
The victim has been identified as Marisol Martinez.
Police say that around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, the 21-year-old was crossing Union Avenue when she was hit by a Q59 bus making a left onto Meeker Avenue.
According to the MTA, Martinez was struck by the passenger-side rear tire.
The bus driver stayed on the scene.
Police are still investigating.
