Candice Lazarus, 63, died of a heart attack brought on by a spinal cord hemmorage.
The estate of an East Side cosmetics executive who died after her cries of pain were addressed by a handholding and cups of coffee has filed suit against the building manager.
Candice Lazarus, 63, was roaming the halls of the luxury E. 57th St. building while screaming in pain on Sept. 6, 2011.
Lazarus — an executive at Laura Geller Make-up Inc. — had just been discharged from New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell after being treated for back pain, shortness of breath and chest pain.
Vincent Lawler, resident manager of the Excelsior Building and the Douglas Elliman Property Management company are being sued in Manhattan Supreme Court by Lazarus’ sister, Charlotte Lisi.
Lawler comforted Lazarus, providing her “multiple cups of coffee,” but neglected to call 911, according to the suit. She died of a heart attack brought on by a spinal cord hemorrhage.
A Douglas Elliman spokeswoman declined comment.
