A toddler was shot in Yonkers on Friday afternoon and police were interviewing several “persons of interest” near the scene, authorities said.
The child is about 2 years old and was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx after the shooting, according to a Yonkers Police Department community affairs cop. The severity of the child’s injuries was not known.
The shooting took place near Locust Hill and Palisade avenues at about 4:30 p.m. and no other injuries were reported.
No arrests had been made and no one was in custody at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Yonkers cops said.
