A samurai sword-wielding man was arrested in Manhattan Friday evening, according to Port Authority police.
Cops say Orlando Lassiter, 51, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct after menacing people with the weapon outside of a subway station near Watts Street at around 8:30 pm.
Lassiter, who is believed to be homeless, was seen holding the sword by veteran Port Authority police officer James Dunphy, who pursued Lassiter to Barclay and Church Streets, where he was disarmed and arrested.
The blade measured in at 27 inches in length, police say of the sword.
There were no injuries, according to authorities.
