Search Continues Upstate For Queens Man Suspected In Fatal LI Shooting

Authorities in the Hudson Valley say there’s still no sign of a Queens man suspected in a shooting at a Long Island business.

New York State Police, the FBI and several local law enforcement agencies held a conference on the search for Sang Ho Kim.

The 63-year-old is believed to have shot two people, killing one, at a lighting fixtures business in Garden City on Wednesday.

His 2007 Honda Pilot was found abandoned near the Hudson Highlands State Park around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

“This has been a very, very difficult search, but we have tried to leave no stone unturned,” said Putnam County Sheriff Don Smith. “But I also have to tell you that it is virtually impossible to search every square inch of the Hudson Highlands Park. But we have done the best we can, and we have still not found Mr. Kim.”

Authorities say Kim may have fled the region or killed himself but will continue searching until they are certain.
