A 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg with an apparent stray bullet on a Bronx playground Friday night.



A 14-year-old boy was shot in the leg with what appears to be a stray bullet at a Bronx playground, police said.


The victim walked into the playground at the Morrisiania Houses on Washington Ave. just before 11 p.m. Friday after he thought he spotted friends inside, cops said.


He heard arguing and screaming as he entered the playground, then heard four or five shots ring out. He then felt a bullet tear into his leg.

He was rushed to Lincoln Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.


Investigators believe he may have been an unintended target.


There were no arrests.
