The New York City medical examiner ruled Thursday that the infant died from trauma to the head and torso.

The June death of a 3-month-old Bronx baby girl has been ruled a homicide, and investigators are trying to determine if her dad was the killer, sources said Friday.

Police got a panicked phone call from the father of little Chelsea Gadson about 2:55 p.m. on June 22 reporting that the baby was having difficulty breathing.

Chelsea was rushed unconscious from the E. 168th St. apartment to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. She died there four days later.

On Thursday, the city medical examiner ruled that the baby died from trauma to the head and torso.

There have been no arrests in her death, police said.

Investigators are trying to determine if her father may have beaten her while the baby’s mother was out, sources said.
