A Brooklyn mom nearly killed her son after viciously beating him with a bamboo stick, police sources said Saturday.
Yayun Weng, 27, brought the boy to Maimonides Medical Center about 8 p.m. Thursday, claiming he had fallen out of bed, police sources said.
When doctors saw the boy had bruises on over 90% of his body, they called the cops, the sources told the Daily News.
The family lives in an apartment on 7th Ave. in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
After police investigated, the mom was arrested Friday afternoon on charges of felony assault on a child, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment, officials said.
The toddler, who remains hospitalized in critical condition, is her only child.
The father works long hours as a cook and is frequently not home, a police source said.
