This pampered pooch really is a dye-hard Crimson Tide fan.

Oona the poodle loves watching the University of Alabama’s football team playing so much that her owner Amy “Bullet” Brown decided to paint the team’s name on her fur.

The playful pup has shot to statewide fame since having the signature red and white logo daubed across her body.

But those fearing that it’s some kind of animal abuse need not worry, said Brown, who assured WBRC that the coloring process is completely safe.

Oona stayed in her uniform for just a day, Brown said.

“Oona loves the attention,” Brown, who is the president of an organized group of creative dog grooming enthusiasts, told WBRC.

“Our first priority is always the safety. There’s no groom that’s worth the health and safety of the pet,” the National Association of Professional Creative Groomers member added.

Oona’s sense of style has caused her to rocket to statewide fame.

Using only animal-safe dyes, Brown revealed her dog had stayed in her “Bama” uniform for just one day before having it was washed out.

And to make the most of the fur job, they visited an area shelter to pose for pictures to raise cash for homeless animals.

“She loves the attention whether she’s in color or not, but of course the color draws more attention, which makes her a happier girl,” Brown added.

Brown’s football fanaticism can’t be denied — it easily eclipses that of those who merely buy their team’s bumper stickers, jerseys and hats.
