Woman struck in another possible ‘knockout game’ attack

A 41-year-old black woman may be the latest victim in the do-called “knockout game,” cops and witnesses said.

The woman was struck by a stranger in an “unprovoked” attack while walking down an East New York street around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.

Police said they arrested a 27-year-old, who is possibly mentally disturbed.

Cops said there were no statements made about the attack being part of the “knockout game,” in which strangers hit passerby in an attempt to knock them out.

The woman said she had just left a nail salon and was nearing a Spanish restaurant on New Lots Ave. near Warwick St. when an unidentified man ran up and hit her in the back of the head, witnesses said.

Cops are looking into eight other suspected attacks in connection with the game.
