High winds that are expected to once again make their way into the city could affect the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Macy’s says it will consult with the NYPD that morning to decide whether its giant balloons can fly and at what height.
The city says says no balloons will be allowed to go up during sustained winds of 23 miles an hour, or wind gusts that exceed 34 miles an hour.
NY1 Meteorologist John Davitt says the balloons will likely go up, but may fly at lower heights as they have during previous windy parades.
The parade is set to step off at 9 a.m. on Thursday.
It runs from 77th Street and Central Park West to Central Park South, then to Sixth Avenue and down to 34th Street.
