Police investigate the scene of a Christmas day hit-and-run in Elmhurst, Queens, where Enrique Clemente-Ovando was killed while crossing the street.
Two heartless drivers struck pedestrians and fled on Christmas Day, killing one man and seriously injuring another, cops said.
The first hit-and-run happened in Queens at around 4:30 a.m. when Enrique Clemente-Ovando, 29, of Elmhurst, was struck and killed about a mile from his home, according to cops.
The driver fled the crash in a beige Toyota Camry with Pennsylvania plates, police said.

Cops said the car was traveling east on Astoria Blvd. when it struck Clemente-Ovando, who was attempting to cross the road near 31st Ave.

The car was traveling east on Astoria Blvd. when it hit 29-year-old Clemente-Ovando.
Mario Santos, 35, a manager at Pioneer Supermarket on Northern Blvd. near 103rd St., said Clemente-Ovando worked at the store as a grocery manager until recently.
“I can’t believe that,” he said of the crash. “I hope they catch the guy. We feel bad when somebody is killed like that.”

Then, at 11:39 a.m., an 82-year-old man was struck in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, by a driver who also fled, cops said.
The victim, whose identity wasn’t released, was taken to Long Island Medical Center in critical condition after he was hit at Third and Bay Ridge Aves., a police sourceaid.

Drivers in both crashes fled the scene and cops are investigating.
The two crashes brought the total number of hit-and-runs since Saturday to four.

A 72-year-old man was struck and killed Monday while crossing Avenue D between 42nd and 43rd St. in East Flatbush, cops said. His identity wasn’t released.
And on Saturday, Chester Poe, 51, of Brownsville, was killed while crossing Eastern Parkway at Rockaway Parkway by a black, four-door sedan, cops said.
Drivers in both crashes fled the scene and cops were investigating.
