The car left a freeway and collided with a large sign, causing the vehicle to divide.

But fearing the worst when they arrived at the scene, emergency workers were instead stunned to find that both people had escaped without serious injury, reported Metro.

Firefighter, Nigel Webb, said: “The impact effectively sliced the vehicle in half sending the front of the vehicle into the nearside bushes and the rear half on to the hard shoulder.


“This was simply an incredible escape for the driver.”
