City Council Member James Gennaro (right) (Queens) and his daughter, Christina, 18, present Mayor Michael Bloomberg with going-away gifts, including a cake, which the Mayor samples, at the final bill-signing of his 12-year administration in City Hall on Monday, December 30, 2013.

Health considerations didn’t stop Mayor Bloomberg from really digging into one of his parting gifts Monday on his second-to-last-day in office.

“Let me show you what you should never do to a cake,” Bloomberg said – plunging his finger into the frosting on a cake Councilman James Gennaro (D-Queens) gave him and licking it clean.

Bloomberg’s package of gifts at the end of his last bill- signing ceremony also included a Parks Department hat, a City Hall subway stop magnet and golf balls in the colors of the city flag.
