New York Cares is warming up the holiday for the city’s homeless on this cold Christmas day.
Volunteers will help more than 150 homeless men and women pick out coats at the New York City Rescue Mission as part of its 25th annual coat drive.
The organization says donations are down 35 percent from previous years and it’s gotten requests for 100,000 coats.
New and gently-used coats can be dropped off at locations throughout the five boroughs through February 7.
