Tom Coughlin makes it clear he wants to be on the sidelines with the Giants next season.
Tom Coughlin just endured his first losing season, going 7-9 and he is the oldest coach in the NFL.
But that doesn’t mean he has any intention of riding off into the sunset.

“I do want to coach,” Coughlin said succinctly, responding to a question asked Sunday night to start his Monday presser.

“Everyone wants to know what’s next for me,” Coughlin added. “I hope it is coaching the New York Giants.”

Coughlin added that there is “definitely unfinished business” for a club that finished 7-3 in its last ten games.
Giants GM Jerry Reese said he “absolutely” wanted Coughlin to return as well, although he declined to discuss a possible extension for the coach, who is set to enter the final year of his deal.
There is also uncertainly surrounding Coughlin’s staff, Offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride has been under fire all season, although it seems like he has gotten the most out of a banged up group. Coughlin said he has “here at confidence” in his current staff, but could not rule out change.
